The controversial kit, manufactured by long-time sponsor Adidas, features a prominent white “M” motif displayed in a fading soundwave pattern. Set against Bayern’s traditional red base, the design was intended as a modern and dynamic representation of the club’s identity.

All of the branding elements on the shirt, including the adidas logo and sponsor’s emblem, appear in crisp white, offering a stark contrast to the crimson backdrop. Notably, the club crest remains untouched, retaining its familiar red, white, and blue colours. However, fans on social media have expressed disappointment, arguing that the aesthetic is jarring and detracts from the club’s proud heritage.
WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
A Bayern fan, @TobiKu23, wrote: "Ugly doesn't even begin to describe this jersey. At least the players now have white bibs. 🤣🤬"
Whereas, @baastiDE, wrote: "Looks like Santa Claus's white beards."
@Ali_MPH added: "So ugly and disappointing. I can’t remember a kit being this damn bad, idk how this got approved. Shameful."
Meanwhile, @iamholgervoges raged: "In the over 40 years I've been a FCB fan, this is by far the worst jersey. I wish we had a permanent home jersey, like Real Madrid, Barca, Inter Milan, and AC Milan, etc. This changing home jersey year after year is a farce."
@hackedbyfipsii wrote: "Bottomlessly hideous."
DID YOU KNOW?
Bayern released their away kit for the upcoming season on May 5, 2025. This version of the shirt received a warmer reception, praised for its creative ties to local heritage, as it draws visual inspiration from the serene sunrise views of the Bavarian Alps as seen from the Allianz Arena.
Ahead of its official release, images of Bayern’s 2025-26 third kit have also surfaced online. The new design sees the club return to a black base for the first time since the 2022-23 campaign. It features minimalist styling with off-white adidas Trefoil and Bayern logos, offering a vintage-inspired look that has generally been welcomed by fans nostalgic for simpler designs.
